PLAION and developer Dambuster Studios have announced that Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition will be launching on 22nd October on PC, Playstation and Xbox. This release also coincides perfectly with the release of Patch 6, which introduces a whole new game mode. Watch the new trailer below to see more of the new Neighborhood Watch game mode.
The Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition will literally be the ultimate collection for Dead Island 2 fans as it comes with the base game (obviously), both gory story expansions (Haus and SoLA), and a wealth of stylish cosmetics and weapons in the many extra packs released, including the brand-new Kingdom Come: Deliverance II weapon pack. Other packs included are:
- Memories of Banoi Pack
- Golden Weapons Pack
- Pulp Weapons Pack
- Red’s Demise Pack
- All six Slayer’s Premium Skin Pack
The new Patch 6 update, releasing on the same day, will introduce all Dead Island 2 players to the Neighborhood Watch game mode. This brand-new co-op horde mode , developed in collaboration with Fishlabs, will have players becoming members of the Bobcats, a fresh trio of College survivors. Players will need to work together to defend their frat house in the Venice Canals from waves of zombies. Each member of the Bobcats has their own class with unique abilities, skills and weapons with which to take on the huge horde that will attack on the fifth day.
Also arriving is the addition of New Game Plus, where players can return to the heart of LA with their favorite characters and weapons to face a new set of challenges and earn new rewards.
