The Peaky Blinders feature film will see more of its previous cast return from the TV series alongside Cillian Murphy as Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee and Ian Peck will reprise their roles among a group of other newcomers.
Rundle played Ada, Tommy Shelby’s younger sister. Tommy and Ada often had a tumultuous relationship throughout the series, but Tommy was still always very protective of her. The series finale saw Tommy give Ada control of the Peaky Blinders gang as he left his old life behind.
Graham joined Peaky Blinders in its sixth and final season as union worker Hayden Stagg. Dennehy, Lee and Peck will reprise their roles as Peaky Blinders members Charlie Strong, Johnny Dogs and Curly respectively.
Also cast the film is Jay Lycurgo (I May Destroy You) in an unknown role. He joins fellow newcomers Rebecca Ferguson (Dune), Barry Keoghan (Saltburn) and Tim Roth (The Hateful Eight).
The plot of Peaky Blinders is being kept under wraps, but it will pick up several years after the series’ conclusion during World War II. “I’m thrilled to see the cameras rolling on this new chapter of the Peaky Blinders story, set during World War II. The country is at war, and so, of course, are our Peaky Blinders,” said series creator Steven Knight last week when production began.

Peaky Blinders has been written by Steven Knight and produced by Netflix and BBC Film with Tom Harper directing. Knight will produce with Murphy, Caryn Mandabach and Guy Heeley while Harper will executive produce alongside David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren and David Mason.
