A first date turns deadly in Blumhouse’s Drop trailer

January 23, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Blumhouse has released the first trailer for Drop, the upcoming horror from director Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day).

The film stars Meghann Fahy as Violet, a widowed mother who is bombarded with anonymous messages on her first date since her husband’s passing, threatening to harm her family if she doesn’t murder her date.

Joining Fahy in the cast are Brandon Skienar, Violett Beane, Jacob Robinson and Ed Weeks. Watch the trailer below..

From Christopher Landon, the mind behind Happy Death Day and Freaky, comes a chilling new take on modern dating horrors. Emmy-nominee Meghann Fahy (White Lotus, The Perfect Couple) stars as Violet, a widow whose return to the dating scene spirals into nightmare territory when anonymous threats start lighting up her phone. Her mission? Kill her dreamy dinner date Henry (Brandon Sklenar, It Ends with Us) – or her family pays the price.

Drop arrives in cinemas on April 11th.
