Second DLC arrives for Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream

January 24, 2025 by Andrew Newton

The second DLC, The Devil’s Comeback, has now arrived for Bandai Namco Entertainment’s SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream and brings two new characters, a related scenario, new weapons, costumes and more. Watch the new trailer below to meet one of these new characters…

The new The Devil’s Comeback DLC features two new characters from Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online – M and Pitohui. M is a bulky and strong ranger who serves as an excellent sniper.  He comes equipped with his armoured shield that he can unfold around him and use as protection.  Pitohui is a veteran Gun Gale Online player who loves the thrill of the battle. As a versatile player, she excels in close to mid-range combat.

The brand-new scenario included in the DLC follows Kirito, Sinon, LLENN and Fukaziroh as they head into an area of Galaxia where player kills have been occurring. It is here that the group meets M and Pitohui who agree to join in the efforts to find the villains, but will they succeed?

This DLC is included in the Character Pass as will DLC 3 and 4, both of which will feature a new scenario and characters.  Fans can expect to meet Philia, Sachi, Mito and Cat Knight Alice over the next two DLCs.

Also, a new demo has released for Nintendo Switch and allows players to join in as a part of a team of 20 and choose between two modes, Boss Raid and Co-op Quest. Players will have the opportunity to play as a number of different characters and use a variety of weapons and accessories which can be carried over to the full game upon purchase.

The Devil’s Comeback DLC is available now.
