February 27, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

With Osgood Perkins’ Stephen King adaptation The Monkey currently in cinemas, The Asylum has shared a poster and trailer for its own ‘mockbuster’ knock-off The Jolly Monkey ahead of its release this coming Friday.

Written and directed by Ryan Ebert, the film sees siblings return to their family’s crumbling motel to decide what to do with business 40 years after several families disappeared in its vicinity, but soon find themselves the target of a maniac dressed as its creepy mascot.

The film stars Dominic Keating, Jane Hajduk, and Anthony Jensen. Check out the trailer below…

Upon their mother’s death, siblings Jenny and Marshall return to renovate her crumbling motel, The Jolly Monkey. But as they work, a deadly force tied to their family’s dark past emerges, forcing them to face terrifying truths if they want to survive.

The Jolly Monkey arrives in cinemas on February 28th, followed by a digital release on March 1st.
