March 1, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Last month it was announced that director Robert Schwentke had departed from the fourth and final chapter of The Divergent Series, having helmed the previous instalment Insurgent and the upcoming Allegiant.

Well, Lionsgate has wasted no time in finding a replacement, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that Lee Toland Krieger (Celeste and Jesse Forever, Age of Adaline) is in talks with the studio about directing the finale to the YA franchise, which is slated for release on June 9th 2017.

The next instalment, The Divergent Series: Allegiant, is set for release on March 10th in the UK and March 18th in the States, with a cast that includes Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, Jeff Daniels, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Keiynan Lonsdale, Jonny Weston, Mekhi Phifer, Daniel Dae Kim, Nadia Hilker and Bill Skarsgård.
