Bonaparte – A Mechanized Revolution trailer brings mechs to the French Revolution

April 26, 2025 by Andrew Newton

The French Revolution was a violent and bloody period of France’s history but imagine this great change with giant mechs fighting alongside human forces and you have the upcoming Bonaparte – A Mechanized Revolution from Studio Imugi. Launching on 21st May on Steam, this alternate-history, turn-based strategy will see players rise up to lead their country away from corrupt government officials and oligarchs to revolution and prosperity. Watch the new trailer below….

In Bonaparte – A Mechanized Revolution, a corrupt government and powerful oligarchs are ruining the country. As the dictatorship runs rampant the situation on the streets grows more and more desperate until one person rises up to lead a revolution to reshape the world.  It’s time for players to head over to 18th century France and take the helm as Bonaparte in an alternate history. Choose what direction to lead the people, conscript battalions and giant mechs to help take over the country and save the people.

As leader of the revolution, choose and perfect ideals that the people of France can work towards, ones that can save the people from the tyranny of an oppressive and corrupt government. Peaceful negotiations don’t always work out, and when that happens it’s time for players to take to the battlefield with the clashing of blades, the boom of gunpowder weapons and the trembling of the earth as towering state-of-the-art mechs march by.

The revolution will progress in real time and players will be able to interact with famous historical characters like Robespierre, Lafayette and Danton to pass laws, reshape the government and extend your reach.  As this new way of life extends across the country, players will be able to build and exploit new infrastructures in the regions under their control.

Look out for Bonaparte – A Mechanized Revolution arriving on Steam on 21st May.
