New trailer revealed for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2

July 29, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Ahead of the advance access launch of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 later this week, SEGA has released a brand-new trailer that covers everything up to and including the Hashira Training Arc, plus some VS mode gameplay.  Watch this new trailer below…

Dive into the world of Demon Slayer in an action-packed adventure as Tanjiro Kamado. In an extensive single-player story mode, fight your way through the Entertainment District Arc, the Swordsmith Village Arc, and the Hashira Training Arc from the anime.  Destroy demons on your journey and defeat upper rank demons with allies in search of a cure for Tanjiro’s sister.

In VS Mode, there are over 40 different characters, including the nine Hashira, the highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps. There’s also the addition of new elements, such as Dual Ultimates and Gear.  Additionally, there will be bonuses for players with save data from Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles or Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep The Board, including character unlock keys and battle attire for use in VS Mode.

After launch, an “Infinity Castle Arc Character Pass” will be available, providing access to character DLC in the future. Also, series antagonist Muzan Kibutsuji will be available for use in VS Mode in a free post-launch update.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is available to pre-order now in both Standard and Deluxe Editions. Pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition before 5th August will allow you to access the game up to 5 days earlier.
