Dead by Daylight’s roster expands as The Walking Dead gets sucked into The Fog

August 1, 2025 by Andrew Newton

The Survivor roster of Dead by Daylight increases today as AMC’s The Walking Dead stumbles into The Fog.  Rick, Michonne, and Daryl (via Legendary Outfit) will have their survival skills tested to the max against an enemy far deadlier than the Walkers.  Watch their new trailer below….

Rick Grimes stumbles into The Fog with three character-specific Perks that reflect his natural leadership abilities. With original voice acting from Andrew Lincoln, players will be able to use the following abilities:

  • Apocalyptic Ingenuity: Sort through Chests to gain the ability to replace a Broken Pallet with a Fragile Pallet.
  • Come and Get Me!: After unhooking a Survivor, while crouched and idle, players can use an Ability to make all nearby injured and dying Survivors completely silent and hide their Pools of Blood. In exchange for this, his Aura is briefly revealed to the Killer.
  • Teamwork: Toughen Up: When a nearby Survivor Pallet stuns or blinds the Killer while Rick is injured, his Grunts of Pain, Scratch Marks and Pools of Blood will be reduced for a duration.

Michonne is never far behind her husband and uses her survival instincts in the following three Perks:

  • Conviction: Heal Survivors to activate Conviction. While recovering in the Dying State, she gains the ability to instantly recover for a brief time. If she doesn’t manage to heal in time, Michonne will return to the Dying State again.
  • Last Stand: After spending time in the Killer’s Terror Radius while not in chase, Fast-Vault while near the Killer to stun them for a duration.
  • Teamwork: Throw Down: Successfully pallet stun a Killer to temporarily give nearby injured Survivors Endurance and reveal the Killer’s Aura to them.

There are already some Walking Dead Outfits in Dead by Daylight, but today’s release brings the legendary Outfit of Daryl Dixon into the Fog as a new character, along with voice acting from Norman Reedus.

“It’s rare that Survivors enter our game with an existing connection that runs this deep,” shared Dave Richard, Senior Creative Director “Not only are they the perfect duo to take on The Entity’s Realm based on their skills and experiences, but they’ve also got this very unique relationship for two Dead by Daylight Survivors which we’re excited to represent.”

These new characters are available for Dead by Daylight now.
