Lionsgate has released a trailer for writer-director Andrew Durham’s coming-of-age drama Fairyland.
Based on Alysia Abbott’s acclaimed book Fairyland: A Memoir of My Father, the film chronicles the relationship of a young girl and her gay father while growing up in San Francisco through the 70s and 80s.
The cast includes Emilia Jones, Scoot McNairy, Cody Fern, Maria Bakalova, Bella Murphy, Nessa Dougherty, Adam Lambert, and Geena Davis. Check out the trailer below…
Fairyland is a coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of San Francisco’s vibrant cultural scene in the 1970s and ’80s. This captivating film chronicles a father and daughter relationship as it evolves through an era of bohemian decadence to the sober and heartbreaking era of the AIDS crisis.
Fairyland arrives in cinemas on October 10th.
