August 23, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Well Go USA has released a poster and trailer for Beast of War, the upcoming WWII shark thriller from writer-director Kiah Roache-Turner.

The film centres of a troop of young Australian soldiers stranded on a life raft hundreds of miles from shore in the Timor Sea following an enemy attack, but as they work together to fight for their survival they become the target of a bloodthirsty great white shark.

The cast includes Mark Coles Smith, Joel Nankervis, Maximillian Johnson, Lee Tiger Halley, Sam Parsonson, Tristan McKinnon, and Sam Delich. Check out the trailer below…

When their boat is sunk while crossing the Timor Sea during World War II, a young troop of Australian soldiers must find a way to survive the harsh seas on a quickly shrinking life raft. Hundreds of miles from anywhere, they must confront interpersonal conflicts, enemy attacks, and the advances of one very large, very hungry great white shark.

Beast of War arrives in cinemas and on digital on October 10th.
