Vampire Survivors meets the Warhammer universes with Warhammer Survivors

November 4, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Auroch Digital and Poncle (Vampire Survivors) have announced Warhammer Survivors, a fast-paced rogue-like survivors game based on the Warhammer universes, coming in 2026. As part of the official Survivors lineage, Warhammer Survivors will allow players to fight as familiar heroes in the worlds of Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000. Watch the new trailer below….

Players will begin by choosing which of the two universes to fight through, using a roster of different iconic characters to wipe out swarms of relentless enemies. In the Warhammer Age of Sigmar-themed universe, players can fight as the unstoppable monster-slayer, Gotrek Gurnisson, against hordes of pestilential Skaven, while in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, players will fight swarms of Tyranids as Malum Caedo from Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun.

Other Warhammer characters that players will be able to play as are – Neave Blacktalon, warrior of the God-King Sigmar, and Sharynn Azurwrath, Stormcast Eternal Vanquisher for Age of Sigmar, and  Trooper Kozlowski, and the Space Marine Intercessor, Brother Luca for 40K.

Gotrek Gurnisson takes on hordes of the Skaven menace.

Malum Caedo defeats hordes of Tyranids.

There are many types of weapons and power-ups that players will be able to use, all of which can be combined into devastating new weapons that can wipe out entire screens of enemies. There’ll be Boltguns, Chainswords, axes and all manner of sorcery able to be used to deadly effect.

Featuring:

  • An arsenal of familiar weapons from both universes, plus a humble pot of Citadel Nuln Oil Paint as an easter egg.
  • A large roster of characters from the Warhammer universes.
  • Multiple different modes and stages from both universes.
  • A huge amount of passives and power-ups to help defeat the enemies.
  • Plenty of secrets and easter eggs to discover.

Warhammer Survivors will arrive on Steam in 2026.
