Classic board game Eldritch Horror unleashing digital edition in early 2026

November 25, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Cornerstone Software Development, asmodee and Fantasy Flight Games have revealed they will be releasing a modern, yet faithful adaptation of the classic board game Eldritch Horror. Fans of the board game will be able to purchase Eldritch Horror: Digital Edition on Steam in early 2026.

Eldritch Horror: Digital Edition tasks players with assembling a team of unlikely heroes that they can take on perilous adventures around the world, and even other worlds. The world is filled with hellish cults to investigate, nightmarish creatures to battle, and even colve mysteries surrounding the Ancient Ones. Failure is not an option, as to do so can awaken an Ancient One and doom the world.

This turn-based adventure will feature hundreds of encounters, dozens of items, and a team assembled from different characters, including spies, cultists, soldiers, shamans, psychics and more.

The game’s dynamic encounter system will change depending on the choices made by players, ensuring unique playthroughs. The game world will always change depending on the successes or failures of the team.

Featuring:

  • Lead a team of eight characters in a battle against the Ancient Ones.
  • Face four different Ancient Ones and numerous monsters through hundreds of encounters.
  • Dynamic storytelling with branching events.
  • Strategic mechanics with a blend of resource management and storytelling.
  • A haunting soundtrack and handcrafted 2D artwork for that 1920’s supernatural aesthetic.

Head on over to Steam now and wishlist Eldritch Horror: Digital Edition.
