With Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel’s Masters of the Universe movie set to arrive in cinemas this June, Dark Horse Comics has announced the tie-in comic book series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Wings of Fate.
Set within the world of the long-awaited live-action reboot, the four issue limited series is written by Tim Sheridan (Masters of the Universe: Revolution), with art by Will Sliney (Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren), with the first issue arriving in stores on June 10th. In the aftermath of Skeletor’s siege on Eternos, a down-and-out refugee gives sanctuary to a mysterious, injured falcon. Now, to save her life, he must embark upon a perilous journey through the Mystic Mountains and seek aid from the storied inhabitants of the realm of Avion.
“Masters of the Universe follows 10-year old Prince Adam, who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man, the most powerful man in the Universe.”
Masters of the Universe features a cast that includes Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena and Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto.
Masters of the Universe is set for release on June 5th 2026.
