The CW developing drama with Fred Durst

November 2, 2013 by admin

The CW network is developing an out of left field idea involving Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst. An hour long drama based on the life of Durst is currently in the works.

Titled The Noise, the show will chronicle the rise of a young artist in the 1990s who escapes a tumultuous home life and forms a wildly popular band with a unique sound. Durst will serve as co-executive producer on the script with Miles Feld writing. This is the second time Durst has tried to develop a series based on his life. CBS and Durst developed the sitcom Douchebag two years ago but it never went on to be a series.

Fred Durst is most known as the lead singer in the rock/rap band Limp Bizkit. They gained instant popularity with their singles “Nookie” and “Rollin’.” Since then Durst has tried his hand in directing. He directed the 2007 film The Education of Charlie Banks as well as the 2008 film The Longshots.
