With Joe and Anthony Russo deep in pre-production on Avengers: Infinity War, the brothers took to social media this week to share a photo of themselves scouting locations for the Marvel superhero epic, before promptly and somewhat mysteriously removing it… but not before a Reddit user managed to grab a copy! Here it is…
As pointed out in the Reddit thread, the location is Durham Cathedral in the UK, and naturally speculation has been running wild as to what it could double for in the movie, with some even theorising that it could be the Latverian castle of Victor Von Doom.
Now, the rights to Doctor Doom are held by 20th Century Fox, so this theory does seem a little far-fetched, but as we’ve already seen this week Fox and Marvel aren’t entirely averse to some character swapping. There’s also the possibility of it being some Asgardian location, or something completely different entirely. Still, let the speculation commence!
Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled for release on May 4th, 2018, with Untitled Avengers following on May 3rd, 2019.
