Bong Joon-ho to direct Parasite

April 6, 2017 by Gary Collinson

It looks like The Host and Snowpiercer director Bong Joon-ho may have found his next project, with AsianWiki (via The Playlist) reporting that the South Korean filmmaker is developing Parasite, which will reteam him with actor Song-Kang Ho (Memories of Murder, The Host) and revolve around “a family going through a disturbance.”

Bong’s next film Okja is set to hit Netflix in June, and follows a young girl who risks everything to prevent a multinational organisation from kidnapping her best friend, a massive creature called Okja. Featuring in the cast are Tilda Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, An Seo Hyun, Paul Dano, Steven Yeun, and Giancarlo Esposito.

While details on Parasite are scarce, it is being reported that the film will be ready for release some time in 2018.
