It looks like Paul Feig is dusting himself off and getting back down to business following the failure of Sony’s Ghostbusters reboot, with Deadline reporting that he has signed on to direct the thriller A Simple Favor, which has Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively in talks to star.
The project is being set up at Lionsgate and is based on a book by Darcey Bell; described as a murder mystery, it follows a mommy blogger in a small town and her best friend who suddenly vanishes. Production is slated to begin in Toronto this August.
Anna Kendrick will next be seen in Pitch Perfect 3, which opens in December 22nd, while Lively’s next feature, the thriller All I See Is You, is set for release in the States on September 15th.
