Given her relationship to Thanos (and her key role in The Infinity Gauntlet comic book storyline), it seems pretty safe to say that the character of Nebula is likely to enjoy some big moments in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War. And now actress Karen Gillan has revealed that the upcoming superhero epic will explore her character’s background, and see her confronting her issues head on.
“Without giving away any spoilers, we’re definitely going to continue the arc for Nebula and find out more about her past,” said Gillan in an interview with Comic Book. “And actually, we’re going to find out that it’s even worse than we know. We’re going to see her confront all of it. It’s going to be like an emotional explosion.”
As we know, Nebula has endured years of physical and mental abuse at the hands of Thanos, and is now hell bent on her quest for revenge against the Mad Titan. Something tells us a happy family reunion isn’t on the cards here…
