Shazam casting call reveals supporting characters

October 14, 2017 by Gary Collinson

With Warner Bros.’ Shazam movie slated to begin production this coming February, it’s only a matter of time before we start to get some casting news on the next DC blockbuster.

In the meantime however, That Hashtag Show has got its hands on an alleged casting call, revealing that we can expect to see the following supporting characters:

[DANIEL] 11, Korean. Daniel is a smart kid, into video games and reading non-fiction. SUPPORTING

[CARLOS] 15, Hispanic, overweight, with asthma. Carlos is very shy and sweet. SUPPORTING

[SUZY] 8-10, African American. A sweet, bubbly girl with glasses and pigtails. SUPPORTING

The characters mentioned above appear to line up with Eugene Choi, Pedro Pena and Darla Dudley, three friends of Billy Batson who debuted in DC’s New 52 relaunch. Their potential inclusion follows earlier reports that Freddy Freeman, a.k.a. Captain Marvel Jr., is also set to feature in the film.

Shazam is slated for release on April 5th 2019.
