Ray Fisher reveals the villains that he would like to see appear in a Cyborg solo film

November 15, 2017 by Jordan Jones

Justice League is nearly out in theaters, and that means Cyborg is about to be thrust into the mainstream spotlight. Sure, the general public knows about Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Superman, and even Aquaman (though perhaps for all the wrong reasons), but Cyborg? Maybe not. If the character is received well, however, he may very well get his own solo film. If that happens, what villain would Cyborg actor Ray Fisher like to take on? Appearing on Popcorn Talk, Fisher gives his answer:

“With this kind of story, I’d love to see it be a little bit more intimate, a little bit more specific to Cyborg. There is a sort of Cyborg special that they had done years ago where he fights a group called Phantom Limbs, which is this mercenary group of cybernetically-enhanced individuals who are very much like him. I think seeing him take on people who have similar abilities but [are] a much more finely-tuned group of warriors — seeing how that all would turn out, I think would be really special.”

This could very well be interesting, but let’s just hope it doesn’t turn into an explosion of CGI. Reviews for Justice League are out, and some critics are mentioning Cyborg’s effects specifically. Still, there would be time to brush up the character’s look for a solo film, and any foes he may face.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League will reunite Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and Robin Wright as General Antiope alongside J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard (The Danish Girl) as Mera, Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) as Vulko, Kiersey Clemons (Dope) as Iris West, Ciaran Hinds (Game of Thrones) as Steppenwolf, and Julian Lewis Jones (Stella) and Michael McElhatton (Game of Thrones) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
