Russell Crowe open to Jor-El return

July 8, 2013 by admin

After seemingly receiving a lot of questions regarding his role as Clark Kent’s biological father Jor-El in this summer’s Man of Steel, Russell Crowe (Gladiator), has taken to Twitter to to briefly address them. In between a multitude of sports related tweets Crowe has the following to say:

“A lot of you are asking about a KRYPTON prequel, if that’s something you feel strongly about let @Legendary pictures know your thoughts.” When another tweet suggested he was trying to create a groundswell of support he simply replied, “Just getting sick of reading the same question mate, however, if it came up, I’d give the tights another go.”

With the latest film giving Krypton and it’s heritage a much closer look this time round, Jor-El managed to bag himself a lot of screen time. Crowe’s performance has been generally praised so it’s unsurprising that many people are clamouring to see more of him.

Crowe certainly seems willing if the opportunity arose. But would it too much of a good thing to have a film set entirely on Superman’s planet of origin? Maybe he will just return as a hologram/AI again in sequels? What do you think?
