Arrow Easter egg spotted on Gotham ignites crossover theories

September 30, 2014 by James Garcia

Now that the Dollmaker – a villain who debuted in the New 52 in 2011 and appeared on Arrow last season – is set to appear on Gotham, fans are running wild with theories about the two shows sharing the same connected universe. Those theories were given even more fuel by this little Easter egg spotted in last night’s episode of Gotham, titled ‘Selina Kyle’. The show is already becoming known for its Gotham City skyline panning shots, and now it looks like we’ll have to keep our eyes open for little hints and nods at the greater DC Universe…

Yep, it looks like the Queen Consolidated logo showed up on Gotham. Let the wild speculation begin!

Personally, I don’t think a crossover is going to happen, simply because there’s no logistical reason for Warner Bros. to link two shows that air on different networks and exist in seemingly different timelines. Still, I understand that it would be cool to see the two series share even tangential links, and if anything it’s fun to theorize about.

Gotham airs on Monday nights on Fox. Arrow, on the other hand, is quickly approaching its third season and returns to the CW on Wednesday October 8. Tell us, do you think there’s a chance of the two shows crossing over? Or is that just a fanboy pipedream? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
