Xbox LIVE’s Games with Gold for October revealed

October 17, 2014 by Tom Powter

The Games with Gold promotion for Xbox LIVE is seeing three new titles brought to the service this month – Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Darksiders 2 and Chariot.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Darksiders 2 will both arrive on the Xbox 360, while the Xbox One is getting Chariot. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Darksiders 2 are both well-known titles, but Chariot is a small, independent game released as part of Xbox’s increasingly popular ID@Xbox programme. The game is a local co-op platformer featuring a princess and her fiancé, tasked with transporting her father’s corpse to its final resting place. Sounds kind of grisly if you ask me.

Here’s a breakdown of the month’s offerings, courtesy of Polygon:

  • Chariot ($14.99 ERP): Available from Oct. 1-31 on Xbox One
  • Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ($19.99 ERP): Available from Oct. 1-15 on Xbox 360
  • Darksiders 2 ($39.99 ERP): Available from Oct. 16-31 on Xbox 360

Subscribers to Gold currently have access to Halo: Reach on the Xbox 360 and Super Time Force on the Xbox One.
