Chris Pratt is interested in appearing on Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

November 16, 2014 by James Garcia

Chris Pratt may be a big star now, thanks to his role as Star-Lord in this year’s Guardians of the Galaxy, but when he landed the part a few years ago he was known mostly for his role as Andy Dwyer on NBC’s hit comedy series Parks and Recreation. Now that he’s led the Guardians to becoming the number one comic book movie of 2014, he’ll attempt to revitalize the Jurassic Park franchise with next year’s Jurassic World, but he’s not ruling out more television appearances just yet.

With Parks and Recreation coming to an end (things will wrap up in mid-December), the folks at Zap2It asked Pratt if he’d be willing to appear on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. now that he has more time in his schedule. His response?

“I wouldn’t rule it out. Marvel would have to decide, but if i made sense for the brand and for the story, yeah sure.”

As great as it would be to see Star-Lord appear on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and for Pratt to reprise the role sooner than 2017, I highly doubt it’s going to happen. Such an appearance doesn’t quite make sense with how the MCU has been laid out thus far; Star-Lord and his fellow Guardians are still, well, in another galaxy. It’s certainly not impossible for such a thing to happen, especially with Marvel’s Phase Three leaning more toward the cosmic side, but it probably won’t happen anytime soon.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on Tuesday nights on ABC. Guardians of the Galaxy will be available on Blu-ray and DVD December 9th.
