Lost alum Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje joins Suicide Squad as Killer Croc

March 31, 2015 by James Garcia

If you thought the roster for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad film – which already consists of big names like Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Rick Flagg, Amanda Waller, Enchantress, and the Joker – was already full, think again. In addition to the recent casting of both King Shark and Wonder Woman love interest Steve Trevor, we’ve now learned that Batman villain Killer Croc will join the fray as well.

According to TheWrap, Killer Croc will be played by Lost and Thor: The Dark World alum Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Details on the role, and how the hulking reptilian-looking supervillain will be portrayed on screen, unfortunately remain a mystery, but this is still a cool addition to the cast and one that fans of Batman’s extensive rogues gallery had been hoping for for quite some time.

We will of course have more information on Killer Croc’s role in Suicide Squad when more news becomes available. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts about this casting in the comments below.

Suicide Squad is set for release on August 5th 2016, and features a cast that includes Joel Kinnaman (RoboCop) as Rick Flagg, Will Smith (Hancock) as Deadshot, Jai Courtney (Terminator: Genisys) as Captain Boomerang, Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) as The Joker, Viola Davis (How to get Away with Murder) as Amanda Waller, Scott Eastwood (Fury) as Steve Trevor, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Thor: The Dark World) as Killer Croc and Ray Olubowale (Resident Evil: Afterlife) as King Shark. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Jesse Eisenberg is also expected to reprise the role of Lex Luthor, while Jay Hernandez (Hostel) has signed on for an unspecified role.
