Adam Sandler’s The Ridiculous 6 is the most watched movie in Netflix history

January 7, 2016 by admin

He may not be popular with everyone, but there’s no arguing Adam Sandler doesn’t have an audience. Even with the box office disappointment of Pixels and critical bombs like That’s My Boy and Grown Ups 2, it’s been revealed that his latest film The Ridiculous 6 is the most watched movie in Netflix history.

“The Ridiculous 6, by way of example, in the first 30 days on Netflix it’s been the most-watched movie in the history of Netflix,” the streaming service’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos told press at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show. “It’s also enjoyed a spot at No 1 in every territory we operate in, and in many of them it’s still No 1.”

The Ridiculous 6 is the first of four Adam Sandler movies that will be made exclusively for Netflix, and was in the press early in its production after several extras walked off set over the portrayal of Native Americans.
