Another Day of the Dead remake

July 11, 2013 by admin

George A. Romero may not have made a really good zombie film in a while, but surely we don’t need remakes of remakes of his films?

The makers of this years Texas Chainsaw 3D appear to disagree, as although the 2008 remake of Day of the Dead was a terrible flop, they think they can do better.

Lati Grobman and Christa Campbell’s Campbell Grobman Films have snapped up the rights to the ’80s movie and will reboot the property for release in 2014.

“Zombie movies are really popular right now, and we feel we could do this right,” Campbell told the Los Angeles Times. “We want to keep it as close to the Romero version as possible, to make sure that his fans are happy. These are not going to be zombies climbing walls and doing back flips like in World War Z.”
