Call of Duty: WWII ‘Liberty Strike’ community event underway

July 3, 2018 by Andrew Newton

The Call of Duty: WWII community event ‘Liberty Strike’ is now underway, starting yesterday and running until 24th July this event will introduce four new weapons, new division uniforms, a new game mode and the new Cavalry Division.  Join Captain Butcher in the trailer below as he goes through all the new content.

‘Liberty Strike’ brings the new Cavalry Division to the fight.  These soldiers are equipped with a bullet resistant shield and have the know how for capturing objectives.  This division is free to all and will come with three new uniforms for the event.  Talking of uniforms, there are also new uniforms for each Division including seven distinct country themed kits so you can proudly show off your nationality.

Four new weapons make an appearance: the AVS-36 Assault Rifle, the tactical ZK-383 SMG and the De Lisle Sniper Rifle which comes with a built-in suppressor.  There’s also a push knife which will guarantee a kill.  There are also special Collection Reward weapon variants that can be obtained for the more unique look.

Finally, the Wanderlust Mosh Pit mode will have every player start with a random weapon and gaining a new weapon every time they switch.  It’s a recipe for chaos but it will only last the duration of the event.

Visit the official website for more details on the event.
