Dolph Lundgren, Scott Adkins, Ryan Kwanten and Dermot Mulroney set for Section Eight

November 1, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Action veterans Dolph Lundgren and Scott Adkins are set to star alongside Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), Dermot Mulroney (Hanna) and singer and musician Justin Furstenfeld in the action thriller Section Eight.

Directed by Christian Sesma (Pay Dirt) from a script by Chad Law (Drive Hard) and Josh Ridgway (The Sector), Section Eight will “tell the story of a former soldier who, after avenging the murder of his family, is sprung from prison and recruited by a shadowy government agency.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to have such an incredible cast joining Section Eight. Dolph, Scott and Ryan are so uniquely talented, we can’t wait to see them clash on the big screen,” said producer Brandon Burrows of Firebrand, who has previously worked with Lundgren on Altitude and the upcoming Pups Alone. “It is exciting to have such a talented and dynamic actor like Dermot Mulroney joining our project. We are honored by Justin Furstenfeld’s decision to choose Section Eight for his acting debut. He gives a fantastic performance.”

Section Eight will mark the fifth pairing of Lundgren and Adkins after The Expendables 2, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, Legendary and Castle Falls, the latter of which received its first trailer last week. Check that out here.
