Sony Pictures has debuted the first trailer for I Know What You Did Last Summer, the upcoming horror sequel/reboot from director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
The film follows a new group of teens as they are forced to turn to the survivors of the 1997 Southport Massacre for help when they find themselves the target of a hook-wielding maniac looking for revenge a year after covering up a fatal accident. Check out the trailer below…
“When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.”
The film sees returning stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. joined in the cast by new additions Billy Campbell, Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Haur-King, Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Austin Nichols, and Gabbriette.
I Know What You Did Last Summer is set for release on July 18th 2025.
