First trailer for The God Committee starring Kelsey Grammer, Julia Styles and Janeane Garofalo

June 4, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

Vertical Entertainment has released a poster and trailer for the upcoming drama The God Committee. Written and directed by Austin Stark, the film focusses on an organ transport committee as they deal with the consequences of a decision they made seven years ago when they were given one hour to decide which of three patients deserves the life-saving heart; take a look here…

When a donor heart unexpectedly arrives at a New York hospital, an organ transplant committee must convene within one hour to decide which of three other patients deserves the life-saving heart. God’s work is now left in the hands of five doctors, including Boxer (Kelsey Grammer), a cynical but brilliant heart surgeon; Jordan (Julia Stiles), an idealistic up-and-comer; and Gilroy (Janeane Garofalo), a weary bureaucrat. As the debate over the heart heats up, ethics and bribes clash, leaving the committee members to question what’s more valuable: morals or money?

The God Committee stars Kelsey Grammer, Julia Stiles, Janeane Garofalo, Dan Hedaya and Colman Domingo.

The God Committee is set for release on July 2nd.
