Forsaken, the first major expansion for Destiny 2, coming this September

June 6, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Bungie has revealed that the first major expansion to Destiny 2 will be arriving worldwide on the 4th September.  Titled Forsaken, this expansion will introduce new regions, new weapons and armour, more powers and gripping story missions.  To celebrate the announcement Bungie have released a new trailer for the expansion which we have for you below…

Destiny 2: Forsaken introduces a brand new storyline that sees the remnants of the Reef fall to lawlessness and takes players to new regions (The Tangled Shore and The Dreaming City) to investigate the unrest.  The Dreaming City destination is a region filled with secrets to discover and bosses to defeat and is the home for a brand new raid.  The expansion will also feature a new endgame activity called Gambit which is a hybrid 4v4 mode that merges PvE and PvP into an epic battle.

“With an absorbing new story, created by High Moon Studios in partnership with Bungie, Destiny 2: Forsaken offers core players an epic experience, and offers a compelling entry point for new players,” Byron Beede, Executive Vice President and General Manager for Destiny at Activision. “I’m looking forward to watching players get their hands on some of the most requested features requested by the dedicated Destiny 2 community.”

As well as the new regions and game mode, Forsaken will also feature:

• 8 Barons and their crew to hunt down.
• New powers with 9 additional Supers.
• New exotic weapons, armor and gear
• New weapon archetype called the Legendary Bow.
• New story missions, adventures and destination activities.

Destiny 2: Forsaken will be available worldwide for all formats on 4th September.
