D.C. Thomson & Co. has released four more Commando Comics into their collection. Two are reprints from over 40 years ago, while two contain brand-new stories from Dominic Teague, with artwork by Marco Bianchini, Alberto Saichann and Esteve Polls. These four new titles include:
5931 (Home of Heroes): V For Vengeance: The Art Of Death
In this brand-new story by Dominic Teague, the Nazis have occupied Paris, and the people fear that the light and art the city is renowned for will be lost under German oppression. The Parisians dream of vengeance and what they get are the Deathless Men – a group of assassins dressed in grey and bringing terror to the tyrants, the murderers, the torturers and the collaborators that have taken control of the city.

5932 (Gold): Vengeance Squad
This story first published in 1971 as No. 601, tells another tale of vengeance, this time against Jim Bryant, an Englishman who has turned traitor, joined the enemy, and broadcasts demoralising stories to Allied troops in the jungle. Soon the treacherous voice made the men afraid, then it made them angry, and then came the solution to silence Bryant by sending in The Vengeance Squad.

5933 (For Action and Adventure): All For Nothing
In another new story from Dominic Teague, British Captain Roderick Churchill and his troops are advancing on Berlin, fighting the remaining pockets of German resistance that have yet to admit defeat. During this arduous journey, he learns of two young German soldiers who have become disillusioned about their nation’s cause. Although one of the soldiers surrenders peacefully, his friend proves more of a challenge.

5934 (Silver): Escape From France
In this story, first published in 1984 as No. 1856, the German forces are advancing rapidly through France, destroying all resistance. Every Allied unit has had to flee the country as best they could, and Andy Blake’s lads thought they’d managed to do that until their boat ran aground. Now, the only ones who can help them is a French platoon, one that Andy’s squad had double-crossed them earlier. Will the French help them now?
This story is by McDevitt, with art by Ruiz, and cover art by Philpott.
