With just over two weeks to go until the theatrical release of The Creator, 20th Century Studios has unveiled the final trailer for the sci-fi action thriller.
Directed by Gareth Edwards, the film follows ex-special forces agent Joshua (John David Washington) as he is hired to kill the elusive architect of advanced AI who has created a weapon with the power to end the war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, and finish mankind itself, but fails to complete his mission when he discovers the weapon is in the form of a child (Madeleine Yuna Voyles). From writer/director Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla) comes an epic sci-fi action thriller set amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence. Joshua (Washington), a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife (Chan), is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war… and mankind itself. Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory… only to discover the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child (Voyles).
Featuring in the cast of The Creator are John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Madeleine Yuna Voyles and Allison Janney.
The Creator is released exclusively in cinemas on September 29th, 2023.
