Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law returning for new special

May 16, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Eleven years after the original series ended its run, Adult Swim has announced that Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law is returning later this year for a half-hour animated special.

Created by Erik Richter and Michael Ouweleen, who are executive producing the special, Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law follows ex-superhero Harvey T. Birdman from Hanna-Barbera’s Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, who is now working as an attorney for Sebben & Sebben, a law firm staffed by former superheroes. Among their clients are various Hanna-Barbera characters such as Fred Flintstone, Yogi Bear and Scooby-Doo.

The half-hour special will see Birdman (Gary Cole) being appointed as Attorney General when his billionaire bos Phil Ken Sebben (Stephen Colbert) becomes the U.S. President. In this new role, it’s up to Birdman to find a way to remove the President from office before everyone starts to worry it’s more than the ridiculous plot to an animated show.

Also set to return for the special are John Michael Higgins as Mentok the Mindtaker, Paget Brewster as for Birdgirl, Chris Edgerly as Peter Potamus, Peter MacNicol as X the Eliminator and Phil LaMarr as Black Vulcan.

Look for the new Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law this fall.
