He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction gets release date trailer

February 28, 2026 by Andrew Newton

Make a note in your diary for the 28th April as Limited Run Games, Bitmap Bureau and Mattel will launch He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Coinciding with the official Masters of the Universe Day, this new title will bring classic 2D arcade brawling action. Watch the new trailer below….

In this new 2D brawler, inspired by the classic animated series, Skeletor has uncovered the ancient Dragon Pearl of Destruction, and plans to use its great power to plunge all of Eternia into darkness. Only three heroes can save Eternia from Skeletor’s plans – He-Man, Man-at-Arms and Teela. All three characters come with their own unique abilities, playstyles and powers that can clear entire screens of enemies. No He-Man game would be truly authentic without the ability to ride Battle Cat, the hero’s fearsome feline partner, as he strikes down the forces of Skeletor, while She-Ra is also unlockable as a playable character for future playthroughs.

Players will be able to team up with a friend in two-player local co-op to double their fighting power, and journey around regions of Eternia that look exactly like they did in the original 1980s cartoon. Twelve action-packed and highly detailed stages will take players around Eternia, from the Royal Palace and the Vine Jungle to the dark corridors of Skeletor’s hideout – Snake Mountain.

He-Man and his friends won’t just fight Skeletor’s nameless minions; they will also face iconic enemies, including Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, and Trap Jaw, as well as appearances from the dark sorceress Shokoti and the Shadow Beasts.
