With director Todd Phillips and his crew back on location in New York City as production continues on Joker, Just Jared has got its hands on a batch of set photos featuring Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck, the future Clown Prince of Crime, along with Deadpool 2 star Zazie Beetz, who is portraying the character of Sophie Drummond, described as a hardened single mother who Arthur meets during his descent into madness.

Joker centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Todd Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.
