Jurassic World: Dominion is finally complete, confirms Colin Trevorrow

November 10, 2021 by Liam Waddington

Taking to Twitter, Colin Trevorrow, the director of Jurassic World: Dominion, has confirmed that the third instalment in the Jurassic World franchise has finally been completed with just over seven months left until its release.

Last night we put the last bit of reverb on the last roar. Thanks to Al Nelson, Gwen Whittle, Pete Horner, Chris Boyes and everyone at Skywalker Sound for putting so much heart and soul into our mix for #JurassicWorldDominion. It is alive. pic.twitter.com/XBQCwEzIfz

The film hasn’t had the smoothest of productions as filming initially started back in early 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, production has been stopping and starting ever since. The film is currently scheduled to release on June 10th, 2022.

Although plot details are still being kept under wraps, Trevorrow has previously stated that the returning original trio of Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern will have significant roles in Jurassic World: Dominion – rather than short cameos like Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Trevorrow returns to direct Jurassic World: Dominion, which features a cast that includes franchise returnees Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Justice Smith, Danielle Pineda, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy and Isabella Sermon along with new additions DeWanda Wise (She’s Gotta Have It), Mamoudou Athie (Patti Cake$), Scott Haze (Venom), Campbell Scott (House of Cards), and Dichen Lachman (Altered Carbon).
