Jurassic World Evolution 2 gets a new trailer and release date

August 26, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Frontier Developments has announced that the highly anticipated sequel, Jurassic World Evolution 2, will release on PC and Xbox and Playstation consoles on 9th November.  With this sequel players will experience an original campaign mode, lots of construction options, the all-new Chaos Theory mode and more.  A new trailer can be seen below…

In Jurassic World Evolution 2 players are no longer constricted to the Muertes Islands, instead they will be able to construct across a range of distinct environments from dense forests and rocky deserts to sun-drenched tropics.

The game’s campaign mode will immerse players in an original Jurassic World story taking place after the events of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.  Players will need to help the DFW (Department of Fish & Wildlife) contain dinosaurs across the continental US while being assisted by Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard) and Dr. Ian Malcolm (voiced by Jeff Goldblum).

A new addition to Jurassic World Evolution 2 is the Chaos Theory mode, this allows players to revisit pivotal moments from the Jurassic World/ Park series of films in a range of ‘what if’ scenarios.  These can include realising John Hammond’s dream of an operational Jurassic Park or showcasing a T. rex in the San Diego Amphitheatre.

For those wanting to unleash their creativity, the game features a Sandbox mode giving players all the tools they’ll need to create the ultimate Jurassic Park.  There’s also a Challenge mode that will test management skills in a range of different missions that get progressively harder.

There’s over 75 different prehistoric species to discover from winged and finned reptiles to fan-favourites.  These will display new behaviours with the world around them and will be able to be ‘bioengineered’, or customised, to display new colours and patterns.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 launches on PC, Xbox and Playstation on 9th November.  The game is also available to pre-order now on your desired platform with those who do receiving a trio of game rewards to use in the game.
