Keiynan Lonsdale’s Wally West will only appear in three episodes of The Flash season 5

August 16, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Back in June it was announced that Keiynan Lonsdale’s Kid Flash wouldn’t be part of the roster of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow for its upcoming fourth season, and now we have some further bad news for Wally West fans as it has been revealed that he’ll only play a very minor role in The Flash season 5.

“You will see Wally in the first episode.” showrunner Todd Helbing tells Newsarama. “He is in three episodes this season. We don’t have as much time with Kid Flash as I think everyone would like to see, but the story we have for him is really cool.”

Lonsdale  featured as a series regular in The Flash for two seasons, before making his DC’s Legends of Tomorrow debut in season three and serving as a series regular for the second half.

“After outthinking The Thinker, you’d hope that Barry Allen aka The Flash (Grant Gustin) might have some down time to contemplate his future with his new wife, Iris (Candice Patton). But with their speedster daughter from the future, Nora (new series regular Jessica Parker Kennedy), already grown and a part of their lives, they’ve now got to face Central City’s newest menace — the DC Super-Villain Cicada!”

The Flash season 5 premieres on October 9th on The CW.
