Limited time PvP event arrives on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege on Tuesday

August 2, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Ubisoft has announced a new time limited PvP event starting on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege tomorrow, 3rd August.  The Containment event is inspired by the upcoming Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction and will run for three weeks until 24th August.  This event is set in a reworked version of the Consulate map overruled by the Chimera Parasite in a brand new game mode.  A trailer for the event can be seen below…

Providing a teaser of the action to come in Rainbow Six Extraction, the Containment event will bring a new game mode called Nest Destruction.  This mode will allow players to fight it out over a Nest.  Attackers will be given a two-tiered objective scenario, that being to destroy the nest and win the round while the defenders will have to depend on melee attacks and Oryx’s Ramah Dash to defend the Nest.  However, both teams have the option of winning by wiping out the opposition.

This event features its very own collection of 33 unique items for Siege Operators, including IQ, Ace, Blackbeard, Amaru and Zero on the attacking side and Aruni, Jager, Kaid, Mira and Warden on the defender’s side. These unique items include uniforms, headgear and weapon skins and are available in Bundles from the shop for 1680 R6 credits, Containment Packs for 300 R6 credits or 12500 Renown.

The Containment event will run until 24th August.  Rainbow Six Siege will also be available to play for free from 13th August to 15th August, with the chance to earn twice as many Battle Pass points.
