Marvel’s Daredevil showrunner has pitched season 4 to Netflix

November 18, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

In the wake of Netflix’s cancellations of Luke Cage and Iron Fist last month – not to mention the impending launch of the Disney+ streaming service – there’s been a lot of speculation over the future of Netflix’s other Marvel shows, with a unconfirmed report claiming that both Daredevil and Jessica Jones could also be at risk.

While Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock) has said that he’s “unsure” whether we’ll get another season of Daredevil, both his co-star Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) and showrunner Erik Oleson have expressed their hopes for a fourth season, and now Oleson has revealed on Twitter that he’s made his pitch to Netflix:

Just pitched @netflix #Daredevil Season 4. Fingers crossed!

— Erik Oleson (@erikoleson) November 17, 2018

So, hopefully we’ll get some news on Daredevil’s future soon. In the meantime however, we do know we have at least two more Marvel seasons to look forward to on Netflix in season three of Jessica Jones and season two of The Punisher.

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world or embracing his destiny as a hero.

Season three of Daredevil sees Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin) all returning to the cast alongside new additions Joanne Whalley (Wolf Hall) as Sister Maggie and Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie) as Bullseye.
