Marvel’s Kevin Feige talks Black Panther and Ant-Man

October 23, 2013 by admin

Kevin Feige has talked about virtually every Marvel Studios project you can imagine this past week whilst doing the press rounds for Thor: The Dark World. He’s already confirmed that Doctor Strange is in “active development”, indicating that the Sorcerer Supreme could find himself part of Marvel’s Phase Three, and now he’s offered up a few words on another possible Phase Three project in the long-rumoured Black Panther movie.

“In terms of Black Panther, it’s absolutely in development,” Feige tells BlackTreeTV. “And when you have something as rich as Wakanda and his back story… and clearly vibranium’s been introduced in the universe already… I don’t know when it will be exactly, but it’s certainly…we have plans to bring it to life someday.”

While Marvel has three mystery movies set for release in 2016 and 2017, all we know so far about the studio’s third round of movies is that it will get underway with the release of Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man in July 2015, and Feige spoke briefly about the film to IGN, describing it as a “heist movie” as well as stating to expect cast announcements “probably before the end of the year.”

See what Feige had to say about The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Doctor Strange, Daredevil, The Punisher, and a possible female superhero movie here.
