Netflix shares trailer for Pride and Prejudice series starring Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden

February 25, 2026 by Ricky Church

Jane Austen’s classic romance novel Pride and Prejudice is getting another adaptation in the form of a miniseries from Netflix. Led by Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Jack Lowden (Slow Horses), the series will be released on the streaming service this fall and you can watch the first teaser trailer below.

Pride and Prejudice follows Elizabeth Bennet, an intelligent but stubborn young woman who finds herself falling in love with the wealthy and arrogant Mr. Darcy, despite having a negative first impression of him. The novel is considered a classic novel of the Regency era, deconstructing the societal norms of the time and has been a favourite among Austen fans particularly with its many adaptations.

Alongside Corrin and Lowden, the series features Olivia Colman (The Crown), Rufus Sewell (A Knight’s Tale), Freya Mavor (Industry), Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats), Daryl McCormack (Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery), Rhea Norwood (Heartstopper), Siena Kelly (Black Mirror), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery.

The series is written by Dolly Alderton (Everything I Know About Love) and directed by Euros Lyn (Heartstopper). The pair and Corrin are executive producing alongside Lookout Point’s Laura Lankester, Will Johnston and Louise Mutter with Lisa Osborne producing.

“Once in a generation, a group of people get to retell this wonderful story and I feel very lucky that I get to be a part of it,” Alderton said. “Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is the blueprint for romantic comedy — it has been a joy to delve back into its pages to find both familiar and fresh ways of bringing this beloved book to life. The book is a gift to adapt — packed with drama and depth as well as comedy and charm. In it lies the opportunity to examine the complexities of love, family, friendship, and society, while aspiring to Austen’s delightfully observational voice. With Euros Lyn directing our stellar cast, I am so excited to reintroduce these hilarious and complicated characters to those who count Pride and Prejudice as their favorite book, and those who are yet to meet their Lizzie and Mr Darcy.”

“Playing Elizabeth Bennet is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Corrin. “To be able to bring this iconic character to life, alongside Olivia and Jack, with Dolly’s phenomenal scripts, is truly the greatest honor. I can’t wait for a new generation to fall in love with this story all over again.”

Pride and Prejudice will premiere on Netflix Fall 2026.
