Netflix teases Devil May Cry anime series with behind-the-scenes sneak peek

November 12, 2023 by Gary Collinson

Netflix released a featurette for Devil May Cry during its Geeked Week ’23 virtual event, which gives us a behind the scenes look at the upcoming series, and sees executive producer/showrunner Adi Shankar (Castlevania) discussing the animated adaptation of the Capcom video game.

“I’m honored that Netflix and Capcom have entrusted me to shepherd the Devil May Cry franchise,” said Shankar. “Alex Larsen and I love these characters, we are part of the fandom, and vow to surpass the exceptionally high bar we set for ourselves.”

Check out the behind-the-scenes peek here along with the first synopsis…

In this animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.

Devil May Cry is coming to Netflix in 2024.
