Netflix has released a trailer for The Perfect Lie, the upcoming Dutch thriller series based on Saskia Noort’s novel The Dinner Club.
The series follows Karen, who after her move to Bergen, is invited to join her neighbours’ extravagant dinner club. But when one of their luxurious villas goes up in flames, Karen finds her entire friendship group is held together with lies, with each of them hiding their own dark secret.
The cast includes Loes Haverkort, Remko Vrijdag, Noortje Herlaar, Edwin Jonker, Rifka Lodeizen, Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen, Charlie-Chan Dagelet and Teun Luijkx. Watch the trailer below…
When Karen moves with her family to Bergen, they are warmly welcomed into the dinner club, a seductive group of friends who fully indulge in an extravagant and hedonistic lifestyle. Until one of the luxurious villas goes up in flames, and their friend Evert is killed. His wife and children barely survive. Karen soon discovers that their close friendship is held together by lies.
