The Wrap is reporting that Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Apocalypse) is in talks to play inventor Nikola Tesla in director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s The Current War.
The film explores the feud between Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse as the two battle over the best way to power the United States. Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) is set to play Edison, with Michael Shannon (Nocturnal Animals) as Westinghouse.
The Current War is based on Michael Mitnick’s 2011 Black List script, and is slated to go into production in December.
