Nightwing director dismisses Dick Grayson casting speculation

November 6, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Yesterday rumours started circulating that Power Rangers and Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery may have been cast in the title role of Warner Bros. and DC Films’ Nightwing solo movie, with the speculation stemming from a social media post the young actor made, and quickly deleted.

Well, it seems the speculation is wide of the mark, as director Chris McKay (The LEGO Batman Movie) has taken to Twitter to reveal that the casting process is yet to get underway:

McKay also suggested that pre-production on the film could begin in 2018, assuming they can first nail the screenplay:

McKay has previously said that Nightwing won’t rely on CGI, but rather practical action sequences, and his Dick Grayson will need to perform the majority of his own stunts.

Who would you like to see in the role of Dick Grayson? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
