Ray Fisher hits out at DC Films chief, “will not participate in any production associated with him”

January 3, 2021 by Gary Collinson

WarnerMedia may have closed its investigation into Ray Fisher’s allegations against Joss Whedon over the director’s treatment of the cast and crew on Justice League, but it seems the Cyborg actor is far from finished when it comes to his campaign against those he accuses of “enabling” Whedon’s behaviour.

Taking to social media in the wake of a major piece from The New York Times on DC Films chief Walter Hamada (during which he discussed the DC movie multiverse and the studio’s plans to release up to six movies a year), Fisher has once again hit out at the WB executive and stated that “I will not participate in any production associated with him”.

Walter Hamada is the most dangerous kind of enabler.

His lies, and WB PR’s failed Sept 4th hit-piece, sought to undermine the very real issues of the Justice League investigation.

I will not participate in any production associated with him.

Given Hamada’s status as the head of DC Films (and therefore his subsequent involvement with all of DC Films’ output), it would seem that we can rule out the possibility of Fisher making his return as Cyborg any time soon – including the upcoming The Flash movie, which he was reportedly in negotiations to appear in as recently as September.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder and features Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and Robin Wright as General Antiope, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard as Mera, Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf and Ray Porter as Darkseid.
